The Humanitarian Media Center (HMC), in partnership with the Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB), organized a training course titled “Principles and Fundamentals of Humanitarian Documentation” in Marib Governorate. The training targeted staff members from various humanitarian organizations as part of HMC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the professional and rights-based documentation capacities of humanitarian workers.
The course aimed to provide participants with foundational knowledge and practical skills related to the concepts and importance of humanitarian documentation, in line with recognized professional and ethical standards. It also sought to enhance the accuracy and credibility of documented content, ultimately contributing to the effectiveness of humanitarian response efforts.
This initiative forms part of a broader series of capacity-building programs implemented by HMC to empower professionals in the humanitarian and media sectors. Through such initiatives, HMC strives to improve documentation quality, support humanitarian advocacy, and promote evidence-based decision-making.
Participants praised the relevance and practical value of the training, affirming that the knowledge acquired will help improve documentation practices within their organizations and strengthen their ability to professionally and responsibly reflect the humanitarian reality on the ground.
